Tomorrow, November 24 we will meet for the last coffee Morning this year. I would like to take this opportunity to evaluate the international coffee meetings in the past 5 and a half years and eventually discuss in wich form we will go on the next year.

The International Festival Charity Bazaar, organized by the United Nations Women´s Guild Vienna will take place on Saturday, 3 December from 10:00 to 17:00 at the Austria Centre Vienna.
I am also very pleased to announce that one of the ladies visiting our coffee : Birgit (Bibi) Rauscher published her first book: “Hexe Linda lernt zaubern”. On one of our walks in the Wine District, Maria Schick showed us the place where this little witch is living in Ladendorf. Linda knows everything about local herbs, plants and trees. A part from the educational level the book is very sweet illustrated by Alexander Nemec. The book is available in the book stores. An official presentation takes place on Saturday December, 3 at 16:00 p.m in Hernals-Vienna. Filmkunstkino in Mistelbach this month´s Film ” Crazy heart” is again a movie to look forward to. “Crazy Heart is a 2009 American musical-drama film, written and directed by Scott Cooper and based on the 1987 novel of the same name by Thomas Cobb. Jeff Bridges plays a down-and-out country music singer-songwriter who tries to turn his life around after beginning a relationship with a young journalist.”(Wikipedia)

In the documentary Film: “Heil Hitler – Die Russen kommen” (Simon Wieland) people who lived or are still living in the wine district are talking straight and striking about their very individual history and perception of the years 1938 to 1945 and the years after. A remarkable historical document not to be missed.

Although a lot of the blockbusters find their way to the cinema theatre in Mistelbach, real cinema lovers will be happy with the new organization Lichtspiel.
Starting from January 25th., 2011, every first Tuesday of the month, a selected movie will be shown in Kino Mistelbach.
GRAND OPENING – 25.01.2011
The opening will take place on Thuesday January 25th at 7:00 p.m. in Kino Mistelbach. The French film “Le concert” will be shown in the german version . More info: filmkunstkino.at

On October 16. and 17. 2010 (Sat./Sun.) Artists working and living in Lower Austria are opening there ateliers for the public. A unique possibility to see locals artists at work and have an overview of there recent work. Anthea Fraueneder a regular visitor of the international coffee morning in Mistelbach is opening her House/Atelier on Sunday 17 from 10:00 to 18:00. Silvia Vanni , a jewelry designer will also expose her work at the same location. For more info Click here .

The last concert in a row at the Loosdorf Castle (20 minutes drive from Mistelbach, direction Laa an der Thaya) will take place on Saturday, June 12 at 19:30. The series are called “Junges Podium” and is organized in cooperation with the University of Music in Vienna. For program details: click here.
